Desert Trail – Weekend getaway near Jaipur
Several times we need to refresh and can’t afford to take leave for a week then weekend getaways in nearby areas work. Jaipur also have one by name of Desert Trail in Kukas.
Desert Trail is a resort in area sprawling over 110 acres in beautiful Aravali ranges. Desert Trail is around 30 kms away from Jaipur. It is located near kukas. You need to book the venue before going. They don’t entertain customers arriving without booking. You can contact resort manager Ritesh Rajwanshy at 9828160400 or to the booking office of desert trail at 9828160500 for bookings.
How to get there?
Best way to get there is by your own vehicle. If you are coming from Jaipur, then go on NH8. In Kukas you will find Shirdi Sai Baba temple. Next to temple you will see Indian oil petrol pump & Bank of Baroda. Take a left turn from there (next to BOB). Go straight on this road. The place is 8-10 Kms from sai baba temple. You will cross kacherawala village. After then you will find sign boards of desert trail in the way, follow them and you are there.
Please ensure to carry jack and stepney. In case your tyre got flat then you will not find any puncture repairing shop between Desert trail and Kukas.
What is so special?
It’s a resort far away from city hustle bustle. No pollution, no noise. Only noise you hear is chirping of birds and kids playing in the resort.
To stay they have AC rooms in hut shape, including Swiss tents. A big lawn and various sports activity.
You can have a view of aravali ranges from there. Bird watching is another incentive.
Because the resort is at remote location, you will not find it too crowded like other famous resorts. Even on weekends you will have enough space and time to enjoy.
Sports & Facilities:
You can plan day outing as well as your stay there. In sports you have many options like Swimming, Bermuda bridge, Triangular bridge, Artificial river crossing, Wall climbing, Volley ball, table tennis, Cricket etc.
They have a conference hall too for corporate meetings.
If you want to stay, then you need to pay Rs. 3500/- for double bed room. This cost includes Dinner and breakfast. They don’t have room service.
If you are planning a day outing then the charges are Rs. 450/- + taxes for vegetarian and Rs. 550/- +taxes for non vegetarian. This cost includes welcome drink, snacks, one main course and Hi-tea.
Needless to say this also includes your stay for whole day & game activities.
Worth visiting or not?
It’s a fantastic place to spend few hours on a weekend in peace. Don’t expect service like any 3 star / 5 star resorts. But the food served is fantastic and tasty, staff is supportive. Go there to see the nature, some sports activity and spend time with friends and family. In this cost its worth visiting.
